Welcome to UUCHC! We hope you will be inspired by the simple ways we encourage spirituality, compassion and creativity designed to make life more wonderful. We recognize that there are many different ways to know and serve the transcending mystery spoken of by religion throughout the ages.
We value reason and science. We value art, poetry, music; as ways to experience the sacred inside and all around us. We value learning, mindfulness, awakening.
In these times, our souls are troubled by the effects of climate change, systemic oppression, trending violence and cruelty. Our sanctuary is a space for mourning as well as celebration, organizing as well as savoring. Finding and fostering joy, love and faith–these are spiritual practices we use to build the strength and resilience we need to sustain us on our journey.
Unitarian Universalism is a tradition of hope with a history of prophetic voice for peace and social justice. We share our vision of beloved community. We come together to remember and act on this vision. We are devotional in our commitment and service of life.
If these values live or speak to your heart, if you want to nurture them and be part of a bold, humble and courageous living tradition, or if you are just curious and want to learn more, we invite you to join us.
You’re welcome to enjoy our sermons, meditations, and prayers, as shared with our joyous congregation.
